District 3 Gas News

Hello fellow racers, we have now completed our 4th race for the new year. I will like to give a congratulation to Gene and the Broward Club for a great race.
Now for the best part, this race was titled “Broward Race of Champions” and rightly so, if you attended this race you will no doubt remember this weekend as one off the windiest race weekend for this year so far. So to say that this race was totally a drivers race would be an understatement, you certainly had to trim your boat for the high winds and rough water conditions. All in all it still turned out to be a great weekend, so what I joined Tammy in the frequent flyer club this weekend I still had lots of fun.
The thunderboats still continue to amaze everyone. I will also like to thank Joe Calagero for bringing his 1/4 scale Gas Tunnel out for an exhibition, I hope this will be a District 3 new gas class. I will also like to thank WHH for their exhibition of their large gas off shore mono. Now a great big congratulation to all Gas winners for the weekend, GX1 Gas Mono– Dave Miller, GX1 Gas Cat– Kurt Stutz, GX1 Gas Sport Hydro– Ross Medina, GX1 Gas Rigger– James Traut, Classic Thunderboats– Bert Arencibia. Please see the Race result page for more scores, Wayne Farrow is doing a great job in getting scores posted in a very timely manner.
